A simplistic view says:
there is no past or future,
only Now.
But pause.
Examine your experience of Now.
Is it a fleeting instant,
thinner than Planck’s constant,
gone before it can register—
or is it an open field:
beginningless,
endless,
timeless?
This moment gathers
all previous moments
into the living present
through the weave
of hindsight and imagination.
It reshapes
all that is yet to come
into this same Now
through the gaze
of memory and projection.
There is still only ever
this moment.
But it is not in a rush.
It has duration.
It has no boundaries.
It holds infinity within it.
All things are contained
in this Now.
How could it be otherwise?
The present—
vaster than galaxies,
yet closer than breath.
